Product Description
The X-wing has been continually updated throughout its design lifetime. The original T-65B fielded by the Rebel Alliance was a competent strike fighter for its time, but was soon supplanted by the T-65CA2, boasting improved acceleration. The T-65CA3 improved the avionics, shields and sensors; the T-65CA4 was primarily another engine upgrade, which made it nearly the equal of the A-wing in maneuverability. This kit is quick to assemble and requires no glue or painting, it has illustrated assembly instructions, movable wings and laser cannons, movable cockpit cover, can be assembled with or without undercarriage and includes 2 figures. Some assembly required.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent model at an excellent price   July 24, 2010

I feel like I would mostly echo other reviewers but this was a great model at a great price.
It went together well and looks great.
I'm thinking about buying another to try doing a different paint scheme on myself.

4 out of 5 stars kid loved it   April 9, 2010

My 6 yr old loved it but lazers were constantly falling off (possibly due to all the crashing) but super glue fixed that problem. Didn't go together quite as it was supposed to so we were unable to use landing gear.

5 out of 5 stars Its a model, not a toy....   April 9, 2010
Dr. Space (Somewhere, United States)
It seems pretty durable and it snaps together pretty well. If your child is just beginning to build models you will need to oversee the project a bit. All parts are wonderfully detailed and pre-painted. Instructions are pretty good if you've built kits before. I wish it was a large as the original X-Wings I built as a kid (curse you Lucas and your toady accounts). It'll look good sitting on a shelf. And it went together much better than at Trek model we bought that was rated at the same level. (What IS it about Trek models not fitting together?).

My son absolutely loves this toy. He takes it with him everywhere. Thank you getting it to us on time for Christmas!

3 out of 5 stars Be aware that this is a model, not a "toy"   January 11, 2010

I wasn't paying close attention to the description, I guess, in the rush before Christmas. This is a 40-50 piece model, which is not exactly what I was looking to buy my 5-year old. If you are okay with that fact, then this is a potentially good toy for you. I assembled it and my son has played with it. Thankfully, it hasn't broken yet.
